About Us

Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, Cimișlia has, for over five decades, shaped generations of "eminescieni" — students proud to carry the name of Romania's national poet, prepared for life through education, achievement, and community involvement. In 2025, the lyceum was selected as the model school of Cimișlia district, as part of the Network of Model Schools.

Founded on January 16, 1969 as Secondary School No. 3, the lyceum was named after Mihai Eminescu in 2003 and has operated as a public institution since 2013. Today, 60 teaching staff — 27 of them holding a top or first didactic qualification degree — guide over 890 students across 37 classes. In 2022, we renovated the primary school building and modernized the sports field. The lyceum's main building is currently undergoing major renovation works as part of the Network of Model Schools project.
